General
This Vizi Beam 5RX by American DJ is the successor of the Vizi Beam 5R. Just like its predecessor, this moving head is fitted with a durable MSD lamp with a power of 160 watts. Its light yield is comparable to that of a standard halogen lamp of 575 watts. This type of lamp has been selected for optimal colour saturation. Furthermore, it is fitted with a colour wheel with 14 different colours plus white and a gobo wheel with no fewer than 17 gobos. A frost filter is present so that this Vizi Beam 5RX can also be used as a wash.
American DJ Vizi Beam5RX: in practice
Operating this moving head is a piece of cake. Despite its great number of functions, it's easy to operate and integrate into your lighting installation. A stand-alone mode is available, in which the moving head goes through a pre-programmed chase. The most extensive mode is the DMX mode, in which you can control any aspect of the Vizi Beam in great detail.
