General
The VOX StompLab IIG is a versatile guitar modeller and effect processor in an incredibly compact, robust pedal unit with classic VOX looks. This little stompbox offers a broad range of realistic guitar amp sound and effects, including the prized VOX ToneLab series multi-effects and the VT+modelling guitar amps. The StompLab IIG is almost identical to the StompLab IG, with the addition of an expression pedal that allows you to control wah, volume and other effect parameters in real-time. Despite its numerous functions, the VOX StompLab IIG is surprisingly easy to control and is ideal for less experienced users.
The VOX StompLab IIG: 100 Presets Arranged by Genre
As a beginner, you often can't see the forest for the trees when it comes to multi-effect options and functions. For just this reason, VOX has already preprogrammed in no fewer than 100 sounds! These presets are sorted into ten different music genres including ballad, pop, blues, hard rock and metal. Each genre offers a choice of ten presets from traditional sounds to the most quirky and unusual sounds. The StompLab IIG has the right sound for every situation so you can get to playing without having to program anything. You don't have to worry about your guitar being out of tune anymore either, thanks to the built-in auto-chromatic tuner.
Create and save your own sounds
While playing with presets is fun, eventually you're probably going to want to make your own sounds too. Luckily, that's a piece of cake with the VOX StompLab IIG. The 104 sounds are divided into seven categories of stompbox effects (pedal), amplifiers (amp), distortions/overdrives (drive), speaker cabinets (cabinet), modulation, delay and reverb effects. Together with the Noise Reduction, this means that you can use up to eight effects simultaneously! Plus, the expression pedal can be assigned as a volume pedal for each patch. In fact, every effect can be adjusted in detail with just two knobs. Finally, the StompLab IIG has 20 on-board memory slots for you to save your own sounds!
