General
Manhasset's 2000 Acoustic Shield protects the hearing of musicians and can function as a sheet music stand. Orchestras and bands are becoming more aware of the need for hearing protection for musicians, as many brass players have been suffering from hearing impairment for years. Drummers and percussionists, in orchestras as well as rock bands, might also suffer from that due to the high sound levels that are reached. This Manhasset 2000 shield can be placed between a 'loud musician' and other orchestra or band members, so that the sound is sufficiently dampened. The Acoustic Shield is transparent, so the musician will still be able to see everything.
The multifunctional Manhasset 2000
Because the shield is adjustable in height, musicians can use it while sitting or standing up. You can also place one or more around a drum kit, so that the rest of the band doesn't suffer from the drum kit's high volume. The Manhasset 2000 can also function as a reflection screen for horn players. You can easily place your music score on the lip - this makes the transparent Acoustic Shield perfect for conductors and other musicians who need an extra large music stand, without it blocking their view. The shield can be folded so that it's just 94 cm high, allowing you to easily place it behind your chair.
