Product information

General

The PM7X is a "pickup mute" from Yamaha that can mute your trumpet or cornet. It can be easily picked up and inserted into the sound cup to mute the sound. The idea is to combine it with the STJ Personal Studio, so you can hear the sound through earplugs while you play. The separately available STJ Personal Studio uses Brass Resonance Modelling so the sound sounds the same as when you play without a mute. This system retains sound quality much better than old mute methods. It is lightweight, so you hardly notice it when you use it and it is easy to carry around. You can use it on an awful lot of Yamaha trumpets and some cornets.
