The Cameleon Bar 24-3 is fit for countless applications. Use it as a type of sunstrip, to illuminate walls and objects, at fashion shows, as catwalk lighting, you name it! The Cameleon Bar 24-3 is equipped with 24 3-Watt RGB Tri-LED modules, which guarantee optimal colour mixing and a special effect.
Characteristics of the Cameleon Bar 24-3
The Cameleon Bar 24-3 is just over a metre long, making it easy to incorporate into trusses, truss constructions, DJ booths and other environments. The enormous light yield of the LED bar is generated by 24 Tri-LED modules of 3 Watts a piece. That's why the power consumption is only 80 Watt. The Cameleon Bar can be used indoors and outdoors, as it is IP65 rated. Chances are that you will find this bar at outdoor festivals!
Technical Characteristics of the Cameleon Bar 24-3
The Cameleon Bar is equipped with a high-grade aluminium casing, finished with a durable black powder coating. Thanks to convection cooling via the casing, no additional ventilator is required, making these armatures extremely quiet as well as waterproof. The LEDs are protected by a reinforced glass top plate.

Wrote the following about Showtec Cameleon Bar 24-3 RGB LED Bar
De instellingen voor DMX zijn heel eenvoudig aan de zijkant met een display-tje en rubber toetsjes in te stellen. De BAR's hebben ook fading, chasing en strobing programma's aan boord. Die zijn iets lastiger in te stellen, maar daar heb ik weinig aandacht aan besteed. Deze programma's zijn ook via DMX te benaderen.
Voor mij zijn R.G.B. helderheid (en niet noodzakelijk, Strobing) belangrijk. Dus je bent 5 DMX kanalen "kwijt" aan deze bar.En dat werkt uit de kunst.
De lichtopbrenst is voor kleinere podia prima. Ik ga een klein muziekpodium met 5 van deze eenheden uitlichten. Hiervoor heb ik de Showtec Scanmaster 16/2 gekozen.
De 230 Volt voeding is van Bar tot Bar door te lussen met standaard XLR kabels. (Let op dat je kleine neefje deze niet in een XLR signaal plug steekt... :-) Per bar is een 230V randaarde stekker naar xlr bijgeleverd.
Punt van aandacht: de DMX stekker (3 pins) van de Cameleon serie is NIET standaard XLR. Dus je hebt een verloop nodig van de kleinere 3 pins naar neurtrik XLR. Dit artikelnummer:
9000-0004-5314 dus. (Ik kwam daar in het weekend achter en heb er zelf één gesoldeerd.)
Om de DMX van Bar tot Bar door te lussen heb je de Cameleon DMX verlengkabel 3,00 m nodig. Art. 9000-0004-5329
Op de BAX site zou hier iets meer aandacht aan besteed mogen worden. Verder is de bezorging, de retourafdeling en de helpdesk van Bax uitmuntend!
