General
DAP Audio's DRX-10B is a passive subwoofer from the budget-friendly, robust Mobile Road Series. The DRX-10B has a 10-inch woofer with 2.5-inch voice coil. Its housing is double-ventilated, as it is important that the speaker can expel the pressure of the lower frequencies. The DRX-10B produces a solid bass sound, whereby the frequency response of 55 to 500 Hz excellently matches the full-range speakers from the same series by DAP. It has a continuous capacity of 250 watts, with a peak capacity of 500 watts.
DAP DRX-10B: construction properties
This is the most compact passive sub from the DRX series. It weighs only 15 kg, but still has a durable housing which is made of 15mm thick plywood and finished with black, scratchproof lacquer. A stand flange of 35 mm is obviously also provided, so that a compact, yet full-fledged 2+2 PA setup can be constructed. There are two lockable speaker connectors: an input and Thru output. All in all, this is a smart choice if you want to enjoy full-sounding low frequencies, but don't need extreme sound pressure.
