General
A solid subwoofer is an essential component of any PA setup. The passive Devine Artis B12 is mounted with a 12-inch woofer to inject warm bass into your audio installation. The 20 Hz to 120 Hz frequency range translates both bass and sub bass into bone-shaking vibrations and the power of 300 Watt RMS makes this plucky sub fit for smaller clubs and venues or a large pub. To get the best out of the Devine Artis B12, we do recommend coupling it with an amplifier using SpeakOn cables and making sure that the amp has a power capacity somewhere around the 420 Watt at 8 Ohm mark per channel.
The Devine Artis B12: Functional Design
Besides the throbbing bass the Devine Artis B12 delivers, it also comes housed in a user-friendly cabinet. Solid, sunken handles are fitted either side making moving and positioning that little bit easier and, on top, a standard 35mm flange is found for mounting a distance rod for a satellite speaker. While this is a serious sub, since it's passive, it doesn't come with an internal filter or crossover. As such, it will need the help of an external crossover, amp or speaker management system that's able to filter out highs and mids before feeding it nothing but bass.
Tips or comments about this product
- Please note: This passive subwoofer does not come with an internal filter or crossover. In order to operate correctly, an external crossover/speaker management system needs to be connected. This system will then filter out all high and mid range signal and send only low, bass signal to the subwoofer.
