Devine B115 MKII Passive Subwoofer

General

Improved and upgraded, the Devine B115 MKII passive subwoofer comes loaded with a renewed 15-inch woofer with a 3-inch voicecoil and 80oz magnet able to deliver enhanced power and extra punch. Team this sub up with a pair of Devine Trono 10 or 12 speakers for a full-range set-up, or mount a single satellite on a distance rod via the 35mm stand-flange integrated into the top of the cabinet for neat and compact, yet powerful combo.

Technological Power

Protected by a hard-wearing metal grille, the woofer packs a wide frequency range of 35Hz to 3,500Hz (-10dB), and has been given the full support of a pair of presence-boosting bass reflex ports, ensuring maximum audibility and definition, and a potent sub-bass audio reproduction that can actually be felt. This sub can be hooked up to an amplifier with a bridge-mode function and is able to deliver up to 600 Watts so it can be amplified separately from a set of satellites. When combining the sub with speakers, using an amp with a crossover-frequency set up between the 100Hz and 250Hz mark will definitely do the job.

Housing

The solid wooden construction of the Devine B115 MKII cabinet has been coated in vibration damping felt and fitted with reinforcing metal corners. Built for intensive use, the front metal grille ensures optimum protection, while the standard 35mm stand-flange integrated into the top is compatible with most distance rods.

Tips or comments about this product

• The subwoofer is not equipped with its own amplifier module and/or internal crossover/filter. A quality amplifier that supplies sufficient power is required alongside a signal processor (a speaker management system or a crossover) that divides the incoming signal from your audio source, so only the low frequencies are sent to the subwoofer. This subwoofer is not capable of reproducing high frequencies. Inputting a full-range, unfiltered audio signal into a subwoofer can cause permanent damage! Make sure that no frequencies higher than 3,500Hz are sent to the subwoofer. For an optimal audio performance, set your crossover between 100Hz and 250Hz (recommended). When in doubt about a suitable setup, please feel free to contact our help desk for custom advice.
• For an optimal result, we advise you to use a single amplifier in bridge mode per subwoofer, such as the American Audio XLT2500 or, if your budget is limited, a Skytec SKY-1000.
