Dubbed 'The Night', this unique, Meinl-made instrument mimics the soothing sound of crickets in the night. At the flick of your wrist, the four steel pellets make contact with the steel cylinder, recreating the chirping of crickets. This sound effect goes well with rainsticks, sea drums, frog guiro rasps, kalimbas and finger-cymbals, and is perfect for creating calming soundscapes.

Kocht dit instrument na het lezen van de recensie van Paul. Was verbaasd toen ik het geluid hoorde: het klinkt behoorlijk hol en luid! Ik associeer het niet met ‘verstilde soundscapes’. Wel vind ik het een sprekend en origineel percussie-instrument voor krachtige accenten in je composities of performance. Het ligt prima in de hand en ziet er heel mooi uit. Prachtig hout, fraai gelakt en degelijk afgewerkt.
