The literal translation of the word piccolo in Italian is small, and small is exactly what a piccolo is. The LV-PV4201 is a piccolo in the key of C and is made by Levante, a brand that produces rugged, affordable instruments. The head joint is made of nickel silver, which is a material that stands up well to corrosion, and the body is made of ABS. The combination of these two materials ensures an authentic sound and a rugged instrument.

Silver-plated keys line the body of the piccolo, and include a split-E mechanism. A wooden case is included with the purchase as well, so you can provide solid protection for your new little instrument. The LV-PV4201 is a lovely entry-level piccolo. Most musicians begin with the flute and then move on to the piccolo; because the fingerings are the same, it’s not an overly difficult transition.
