The PM 502 by Dynacord is a powered mixer that is equipped with five analogue microphone/line inputs and three stereo inputs. Its compact design and thought-through flexible output routing make it the perfect mixer for fixed installations, such as those in pubs, restaurants, houses of worship, convention centres and so on. However, the PM 502 is also able to hold its own when used by DJs, bands and other entertainers. It is equipped with a power amp of 2x 450 watts and features advanced microphone processing like compressor/limiter and effects, making it a very versatile mixer. The built-in MP3 player can be fed with music by connecting a memory drive to the USB port on the front, making it dead easy to play (background) music.
The mixer section: extensive possibilities
Both the five combined mic/line inputs and the three stereo inputs feature a three-band tone control, an FX send, an aux send, a peak LED and volume control. On the rear there's a switch to engage phantom power for the five microphone inputs so you will have no problem using condenser microphones. A compressor/limiter can be applied to each of the microphone inputs to restrain the differences in dynamics of several microphones. The PM 502 has no fewer than three master outputs. Each master output has its own 7-band graphic equalizer, allowing you to adjust the timbre of each output to the acoustics of the room. With three master outputs, you can supply three different rooms with (different) music.
Digital power and analogue quality
The Dynacord PM 502 is equipped with a digital amplifier that produces two times 450 watts at 4 ohms, which is more than enough to power a small sound set or several speakers in a restaurant with crystal-clear sound. As usual, the German Dynacord have fitted this device with several protective features to safeguard the amp and your speakers. You can control no fewer than 32 effect presets and additional settings via the built-in display. Additionally, this speaker can also be used for a 100-volt installation without an external transformer thanks to its Direct Drive speaker connection, which is a particularly practical feature for shops and shopping centres.
