General
In the Prochannel II, ART offer consistent warmth and fullness of sound. This high-grade tube-driven preamplifier comes with an array of options configured to enhance and tweak vocal and instrument sound sources in minute detail. The Prochannel II can be mounted in a 19-inch rack and would prove a game-changing addition to any flourishing studio.
Features of the Prochannel II
A high-quality fitted valve provides the characteristic warmth the Prochannel II is capable of, the influence of which can be adjusted with extreme accuracy, so that the question to use the valve or not becomes moot. Everything that sits between a squeaky clean and overwhelmingly warm signal can be dialed in.
More functions include a built-in compressor with variable attack, release, threshold and ratio settings and an extensive four-band equaliser with sweepable high-mids and low-mids, so that the smallest nuances of a vocal or instrument can be further enhanced or dampened as needed.
Connectivity
The PRochannel II comes fitted with front-mounted instrument inputs so that even electric guitars and similar instruments can be directly connected. Around the back, a balanced input is provided for microphones.
What especially sets this preamp apart is the unusual modular construction, allowing you hook up and switch on other peripherals in between. This smart construction gives you a Preamp Out, a Compressor In loop as well as a Compressor Out and EQ In loop. The master output has both a balanced XLR and balanced TRS jack port while a pad is included to send signal at +4dBU or -10dBV.
