Are you looking for a complete MIDI controller for all your music software and hardware, but one that does not have all kinds of complicated functions that you won't be using anyway? This Q25 plug-and-play MIDI controller might just be what you are looking for.
The Q25 is a 25-note, velocity-sensitive MIDI keyboard controller with USB and traditional MIDI ports, which allows you to connect it to almost any MIDI device, including software and sound modules. Thanks to pitch and modulation wheels, illuminated Octave Up and Down buttons and a Volume/Data Entry slider, you can easily and quickly add expression, range and dynamics to your music.
You can connect the Q25 to your computer with the accessory USB cable and start making music straight away. A single USB cable provides the power supply and data connecton. You don´t even have to install any drivers to allow the Q25 to do its job. The Q25 is class-compliant so that you can skip the programming and get to playing straight away!
The Q25 comes with Ableton Live Lite Alesis Edition software for live performances, recordings and sequencing music. The Q25 is also a perfect choice for controlling hardware MIDI devices. The compact dimensions and the fact that you can easily take the Q25 with you, makes it an ideal controller to integrate into your current setup and take it with you to gigs. You can place it above a workstation keyboard , for instance, and use the streamlined layout of the Q25 to extend your sound. You can even use the Program Changes of the Q25 keys to edit programs or patches.

De toetsen voelen ook erg goed aan. Uiteraard geen aftertouch, maar hier kan bijvoorbeeld een duurdere Microkorg met zijn mini-toetsen 'een puntje aan zuigen'.

Pluspunten:
+ goedkoop
+ pitch en modulation wheels
+ knoppen om octaaf te veranderen (heel degelijk)
+ veel fucties met de midi select knop, waaronder transpose
+ stevig en zwaar, niet iets dat gauw uit elkaar valt
+ blijft stabiel door de rubberen voetjes
+ installeert stuurprogramma vanzelf
Minpunten
- bij het wat harder aanslaan van de toetsen hoor je een soort dreun door het keyboard (niet heel storend)
- drukgevoeligheid niet heel erg bijzonder (had ook niet anders verwacht voor zo'n prijs)
- er had misschien een knop op gekund op de toetsgevoeligheid aan en uit te zetten.
Over het algemeen dus een prima MIDI keyboard.
Op het begin had ik alleen last van een flinke vertraging, maar dit heb ik opgelost met het programma ASIO 4 all. Er zijn daarover veel tutorials te vinden op bijvoorbeeld youtube.
De verzending van dit product was echt perfect, volgende dag al in huis.
