With the coming of RGBW projectors, the layout of most RGB is off. Also, if you want to benefit from the advantages of RGBW colour mixing, a matching controller is almost a necessity. Plenty of reasons for American DJ to create the RGBW4C controller. It is a straightforward, compact controller that is equipped with the basic functions and packs enough brawn for you to get creative and bring your ideas to life.
The idea behind the RGBW4C
The RGBW4C is designed to keep up with the current LED era, as it involves RGBW and RGBA for mixing colours just as much (or even more) as RGB. This RGBW4 controller allows you to easily connect up to eight RGB, RGBW or RGBA projectors and control them separately, making it the perfect controller, also for those who don't work with LED lighting on a daily basis. You can draw a colour preset or program from it in no time at all.
Using the RGBW LED controller
This device enables you to control quite a few lights from just a compact controller, as it just sends RGBW (or RGBA) feeds. Several colour presets let you select colours instantly. You can use the faders if you'd rather set the mood yourself. Additionally, you can call upon several built-in programs and colour changes, making it easy to operate for people who have never before worked with lighting equipment. You don't need any knowledge of DMX to control this device!

Helaas blijkt deze controller alleen geschikt voor fixtures met maximaal 4 kanalen. Dat had mijns inziens wel even duidelijk vermeld mogen worden in de productomschrijving.
Dit is wat hij uitstuurt:
fixture 1: kanaal 1 t/m 4
fixture 2: kanaal 5 t/m 8
fixture 3: kanaal 9 t/m 12
etc
Als ik dat van te voren had geweten had ik meteen iets anders gekocht, nu moet deze helaas retour.

Maar ik natuurlijk wel reviewen. De aspecten:
- De handleiding kan veel duidelijker. Dit apparaat is voor beginners en dus moet je, vind ik, uitspellen hoe het werkt.
- De bouw van het apparaat is goed: stevig en fijne schuivers. Voelt allemaal degelijk.
- Prijs: goed
- Functioneren:
-Hij onthoud zijn programma als de stroom er af is en start op met dezelfde stand als waar hij gebleven was. Goed.
-Er zijn wat weinig presets, eigenlijk heb ik behoefte aan 8 of m16
-Chases: wordt me niet duidelijk uit de handleiding.
-Fixture selectie: Ik vind het onhandig dat er twee lampen onder 1 knop zitten.
-Ik mis een 'master dimmer' knop. Als ik het goed heb begrepen kan je bij een 8 kanaals controller de master dimmer van de lamp gebruiken.
Ik zou hem denk ik niet nog een keer kopen. Maar: Works as expected (maar ik wil in praktijk net iets meer).
