To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Privia series, Casio created the PX-A800BN. This modern digital piano combines a high-quality keyboard and an advanced sound generator with a gorgeous housing with a natural wood texture. Your piano performance is brought to life by the AiR (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) system, which ensures that all 88 piano notes both sound and resonate naturally, from attack to decay. AiR even recreates the natural harmonic overtones you get in combination with a damper pedal. In short, the Privia PX-A800BN doesn't only look like a real piano, it sounds like one too.
PX-A800BN: keyboard
Casio has equipped the PX-A800BN with a Tri-sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II - a long name for an exceptionally comfortable keyboard. The triple key sensors accurately register your key strokes, so the dynamics of your performance are authentically reproduced. Meanwhile, the virtual hammer response follows the intensity of your strokes and the register you're playing, and the piano's Key Off Simulator emulates the tonal differences you hear when you release a key (based on speed).
Piano lid
It wouldn't be far-fetched to call the PX-A800BN a hybrid piano - you can even open the piano lid to create a wider sound spectrum. To enhance this physical feature, the piano has a digital Lid Simulator with four settings, which simulates the tonal changes of a (partly) opened grand piano lid. The PX-A800BN's two-way speakers are driven by a 40-watt amplifier, and two headphone outputs allow you to quietly practise à quatre mains with a partner. With a 256-voice polyphony and 18 realistic sounds at your disposal, you have an excellent foundation for your musical studies and performances.
