American Vintage 1954 Stratocaster: construction
This highly desirable Strat has an ash body and a one-piece maple neck and fretboard. The fretboard is home to 21 vintage-size frets as well as black position markers, and it features rolled edges, a comfortable 1954 profile and a 7.25-inch radius. Fender opted for a 2-colour Sunburst finish with their glorious Flash-Coat lacquer, consisting of three layers: sealant, colour and top coat. Every layer is 100% cellulose lacquer and thus enables the body to resonate freely, resulting in a more open sound. Some of this guitar's stunning details include the Bakelite miniskirt knobs, the rounded pickup covers and the original Strat-style football switch tip. These are highly coveted after-market components by Strat purists, fitted as standard on this Fender guitar!
Memorabilia
The historic and sentimental value of this anniversary edition are underlined by its accessories. There's the vintage polishing cloth, for instance, made to look like one from 1954. What's more, a reproduction of the 1954 paperwork is also included. Those who wish to utilise the original tone circuit can choose to replace the pre-fitted 5-way pickup switch with the included 3-way pickup switch. Naturally, a period-correct tweed case is also included and so is a cable and a black leather guitar strap.
