General
It is rarer than photos of Nessie and yet Bax-shop has managed to get hold of two of them: the Fender FSR American Vintage '70s Stratocaster. This electric guitar combines the best features of all the Strats from the seventies. What is exceptionally striking is that the headstock has the same black finish as the body. All in all, it is an authentic reissue of a '70s Stratocaster in a limited black guise.
The best of the '70s
The seventies has seen several versions of the Fender Strat. This Factory Special Run edition is a mixture of several styles from that period. For instance, it has a comfortable, U-shaped neck that is bolted onto the lightweight alder body with three screws. Its large '70s-style headstock features the characteristic Fender bullet-style truss-rod nut and a white Fender logo. Additionally, it is equipped with specially voiced single-coil pickups to provide that typical '70s Strat sound.
Authentic hardware
Not only the shape of he Fender FSR American Vintage '70s Stratocaster is an authentic replica of the original, its hardware is also accurately copied. This guitar has period-correct F-style machine heads and a vintage-style tremolo bridge with six bent saddles. Thanks to Fender's Micro-Tilt, it is easy to adjust the angle of the neck. The vintage look is emphasised by the parchment-coloured pickguard and knobs.
