General
Is the range of your six-string instrument not wide enough? You should try this 7-string Ibanez from the Premium series. The transparent red RG927QMZ RDT is a high-end electric guitar with the same high-quality characteristics as the more expensive Japanese Prestige and J-Custom models. This guitar, however, was made in an Indonesian factory which makes it much more affordable. And last but not least: the RG927QMZ RDT comes with an Ibanez Premium softcase and a practical multi-tool.
Construction of the Ibanez RG927QMZ RDT
The letters QM in the type number stand for 'quilted maple': the RG927QMZ has a lightweight body made of American basswood with a very appealing maple top that has a grain pattern which is almost 3D. The 5-piece neck is made of maple and walnut and has been reinforced with titanium truss rods, making the neck extremely rugged and stable. The Premium series is known for its fantastic fret treatment which entails a rounding and polishing of the endings for optimal playing comfort.
Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge and DiMarzio pickups
The bridge of the RG927QMZ RDT was designed by Ibanez itself. This Edge-Zero II is a floating bridge that can be tilted forward and backwards. As such, you can adapt the pitch in order to create subtle vibrato effects or those famous swooping sounds. The ZPS Zero-Point system makes sure that the bridge always returns to its right position and that the guitar remains optimally tuned. Finally, the RG927QMZ is equipped with a set of powerful humbucker pickups, designed by DiMarzio, that produce a full, bright sound.
