Korg OT-120 orchestral tuner with double display

General

The Korg OT-120 is a specialised, chromatic band and orchestra tuner. Thanks to its design, the OT-120 fits easily into your hand and you can place it upright with an integrated stand. The OT-120 has a double display, consisting of an analogue needle meter and an informative LCD screen which shows the calibration, the name of the note and the battery status. With a large rotary knob, you can select the desired tuning mode.

The wide detection range from A0 (27.50 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz), makes the OT-120 fit for tuning a large collection of instruments, among which wind instruments, string instruments, pianos and other orchestral instruments. There is also a wide range of calibrations that supports concert pitches from 349 to 499 Hz. During tuning, you can select two modes: auto and manual. The auto mode detects the nearest accurate note, while in manual mode you select a note first and then you can see on the screen how far you are from it. Two LEDs have been added, so that you can also use the tuner in dark places, like on stage. Two colours tell you if you have tuned it too high or low. With the built-in speaker you can also play reference tones and tune by ear. When you use the separately available CM-100L contact microphone, you can use Korg's Sound Back mode. This allows the OT-120 to produce a reference tone that is closest to the tone that you are playing. Several temperaments that are common in classical music are supported.
