General

Meinl's CH3 is a set of Tri-Tone chimes. This percussion instrument consists of three free-floating bars (hence Tri-Tone) and a solid wooden holder for these bars. Meinl even throws in a wooden beater for free. When you play the instrument with the beater, you can create a variety of high-pitched tones that have great sustain. Therefore, this instrument has quite a unique position in many an orchestra, for instance.
