General

The Roland FR-18 Diatonic is the world's first digital diatonic accordion! It sounds just as superior, authentic and dynamic as the other models of the V-Accordion series, but has a diatonic setup. The FR-18 Diatonic is equipped with twelve different diatonic accordion models, which can be set to the desired tonality by means of tablatures. It also features a number of orchestra sounds, tone wheel organs, percussion instruments and drums. This accordion is available in two different colours: a black edition and this beautiful red edition.

FR-18 Diatonic: twelve diatonic accordion models

The Roland FR-18 Diatonic is equipped with twelve famous diatonic accordion models, which can be played in any desired tonality. You can choose from various button configurations (tablatures) for both left and right hand. A free software app for PC/Mac even enables you to create your own tablatures, which you can then load directly into the FR-18 Diatonic by means of a USB port.

Lightweight construction

The FR-18 Diatonic has a lightweight construction without any built-in speakers. As such, the instrument can easily be managed and won't cause you any back trouble, even after hours of playing. The Roland FR-18 Diatonic is very energy-efficient and can be powered via the accessory adapter or by eight AA batteries.
