Roland's VG-99 V-Guitar System is based on years of knowledge and experience. It is equipped with three processors, which makes it one of the most powerful available systems.

Numerous options

Like the VB-99 for bass guitar, the VG-99 is equipped with COSM technology, which places a wide range of guitar simulations at your disposal, two of which can be used simultaneously. This means you can choose a classic electric guitar sound and add a bit of acoustic guitar to the mix. This compact yet powerful system provides you with numerous options. The VG-99 offers you dynamic control. If you have selected two different guitar simulations, you can adjust each one separately. Naturally, they can be controlled by means of an optional foot switch. You can also set them to respond with different simulations, based on their touch-sensitivity: a soft stroke provides an acoustic sound, while a more powerful stroke triggers a distorted sound.

No more guitar changes

In addition to its dynamic control, the VG-99 system also allows you to adjust the sound settings for each separate string. Set the four bottom strings to play acoustic, steel-string guitar sounds, for instance, and make the two top strings produce heavy synth sounds. Please note that you need a GK-3 pickup for these options. Once one of these pickups is installed in or on your guitar, a whole new range of possibilities is at your fingertips. By adjusting the simulation settings, you'll be able to tune down your guitar sound by up to five semitones, without having to switch instrument.

D-Beam and ribbon control

The VG-99 features a D-Beam, which allows you to influence your sound by means of an infra-red light beam, as well as a ribbon controller. The latter is a type of strip that enables you to adjust your settings by dragging your finger along it. The VG-99 V-Guitar System is packed to the brim with great functionality and adds an extra dimension to your guitar playing.
