General

The Schlagwerk WT270 Wah-Wah Tube Middle is a percussion instrument that deserves your attention. Hitting this instrument with a mallet produces a deep bell-like tone, which sounds beautiful on its own. You can gradually cover the hole, on the side of the tube, with your thumb. This changes the bell sound in a way that guitarists would recognise as 'wah wah' and sound designers like a filter'. The speed at which you perform the capping is of course up to you, it can be very fast or very slow which allows you to quietly influence the overtones of the bell sound.
