With a Schlagwerk WT320 Wah-Wah Tube Deep in your hand, you have everything you need to create a mysterious atmosphere. The WT320's basic sound is a deep bell or ring, one with a nice long extinction time. The interesting thing is in the hole on the side of the tube. By (as the tube resonates) gradually covering this hole with your thumb, the sound changes in a way guitarists know as wah-wah. Move your thumb quickly over the hole and your sound takes on a fast wah-wah that can seem a bit alienating in terms of atmosphere. Move your thumb slowly over the hole and the sound moves (changes) slowly, ideal for new age, for example.
