Squier took the classic Fender Telecaster Bass and added a modern twist to it. The original design featured a Precision Bass body but this bass guitar is shaped like a Telecaster from top to bottom so it has a single cutaway and a slender headstock. The Squier Vintage Modified Tele Bass has a 20-fret maple neck and a lightweight basswood body that makes it sound gorgeously full and neat and defined at the same time. This bass guitar is easy to play thanks to its 32-inch scale and that makes it ideal for beginners or even guitarists. Also available in black.
Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Bass: classic meets modern
Squier's Vintage Modified series combines classic features with modern specifications. In addition to the legendary vintage Telecaster look it has a vintage-style bridge and a set of vintage style tuners. The bridge is equipped with two brass saddles for a fierce and clear sound. The Modified bits comprise a punchy single-coil, designed by Seymour Duncan, and a versatile tone circuit. Even though this bass has just one pickup, you can choose between three different sounds with the 3-position pickup switch. You'll glide from a full Modern Bass to a clear tic-tac Baritone sound or a softer, more subtle double bass-like sound.
The Squier brand
Ever since Fender introduced their first electric guitar in the fifties, many competing manufacturers have produced cheap imitations of variable quality. To offer you the same reliability, sound and playability of the original at a reasonable price, Fender started a subsidiary in 1982: Squier, (not to be confused with the Fender Esquire!).
