This Tama Starclassic Bubinga is a gorgeous 3-piece shell set that consists of a 22-inch bass drum, a 12-inch tom and a 16-inch floor tom. The shells are made of 9 plies of African bubinga, a wood-type that is 53% harder than the ubiquitous maple and birch, which results in a clear sound with an aggressive attach, combined with a rich low-end.

This particular Starclassic Bubinga shell set comes with hardware that has a Black Nickel finish, which only elevates the gorgeous appearance of this shell set to greater heights. The die-cast hoops make sure that your drumheads stay in tune, and are assisted in that task by the Hold Tight washers. These stainless steel cup washers come with rubber rings, that ensure constant contact between the tension rods and the hoop, preventing the tension rods from coming loose and preserving the right tension. Furthermore, this gorgeous shell set is equipped with a Star-Cast tom mounting system, which gives the shells maximum resonance and improved stability. The streamlined design of this tom mount also makes it easier to find the perfect position for your tom. The Tama BU32RZBNS-SBG Starclassic Bubinga comes with Evans drumheads.
Other hardware
The 'virgin bass drum' in this Bubinga shell set comes with Starclassic Bubinga claw hooks. These hooks are fitted with a rubber lining, which essentially reduces the chance of them damaging the wooden hoops to zero. For an optimal tone and resonance, Tama chose to fit the bass drum with their Air Cushioned bass drum legs. These have a special air chamber, that prevents the sound and sustain of your bass drum disappearing into the ground, while also being shock absorbing.
