General

A genuine Round Neck Dobro resonator, the Epiphone Hound Dog sticks to the long tradition of the Dopyera guitars that came before, from the classic f-holes to the bell brass body. A more affordable alternative to a vintage model, the Epiphone Dobro Hound Dog M-14 supports classic slide and finger-style techniques, whether spitting Delta Blues, Hawaiian ballads, or classic Jazz. This resonator guitar has a fully defined voice with a rich and full presence.

The Hound Dog M-14 Metal Body Resonator: Traditional & Attainable

Since this model has been designed, developed, and built by Gibson's daughter-company, you're assured of authentic Dobro style without having to fork out the antique-grade price for a vintage resonator. And while it features the snug and familiar feel of a rounded 1960's SlimTaper neck and a 12 inch fretboard radius and a traditional bone nut, it also comes supported by a dual-action truss rod so the neck can be adjusted as needed further down the line, and a set of Grover Mini-Rotomatic machine heads to firm up the tuning - some more-than-welcome upgrades when compared to older models.
