Product information
General
A three-piece adventure packed up inside a sleek and hard-wearing box, the Collision Devices Black Hole Symmetry pedal bundles fuzz, reverb and delay up in one glorious whole. All the way over on the left, we have the aptly named Singularity, otherwise known as a mighty, destructive fuzz; dead centre, we have the Event Horizon which, when crossed unleashes a warping pitch-shifted reverb; and all the way over on the right, we have the Ergosphere - a brain-bending modulated delay. Each effect is triggered via an independent footswitch in every and any combination and, when all three switches are engaged at once, you gain a hell of a sound flavoured by hairy, pointed distortion, long-sustained FVI-style echoes filled with the fat harmonics and warmth of a PT2399 chip, all tastefully modulated via two oscillators.
The CD Black Hole Symmetry: From Subtle Ambience to Giant Soundscapes
Everything from the pitch-shifting to the modulation can be controlled in detail via the provided set of pots and, since both the reverb and delay feature a wet and dry mix pot, the balance between the effect and your guitar sound can be balanced as needed. The reverb length can be adjusted as well as the frequency, and the number of delay repeats and the delay speed can also be tweaked as preferred. At the centre of it all sits a fat and tactile Disintegrate control pot for dialling up the fuzz.
