General
The Foxgear Echosex Baby is obvious nod at the Binson Echorec. This smaller version of the Gurus Echosex offers a delay effect with a similar vibe but comes at a much, much friendlier price than its vintage counterpart. To emulate to response to real tubes, the preamp section comes loaded with a Class A FET and helps in shaping everything from classic stutter effects to more experimental ambient sounds. Also, since it's so small, it shouldn't be hard to find a spot on your pedalboard for the Echosex Baby to sit.

The design and build quality of this pedal are really very good. Top-mounted jack and power sockets make it easier to fit on a board. The knobs all have a very positive action and the way that the pedal lights up when powered is a real pleasure.
The sounds it produces are even better. Really great for atmospheric lead sounds (think Dave Gilmour) and perfect for creating dark, modulated, almost pad-like sounds under which your initial picking of notes is still clearly heard over the top. It's super-easy to dial-in a great variety of delay sounds unlike some pedals that have quite a narrow range of usable tones. I want to keep this pedal on all the time it sounds so great.

Cela fait un moment que je louchais sur l'Echosex, au vu des avis et tests du web. Le prix attarctif au vu de la qualité globale a fini par me convaincre. Et au moment de l'achat, un modèle B-Stock était disponible à 20€ de moins : une affaire ! La pédale est conforme à mes attentes : très beau son, possibilités multiples et simplicité d'utilisation... C'est surprenant pour le prix, mais dans le bon sens. Le potard "age" est un plus non négligeable : on se demande quoi en faire au début, mais couplé à d'autres effets de modulation (reverbe et/ou trémolo) on peut se lancer dans des expérimentions sonores très sympa. Good choice : très satisfait de mont achat.

Delay numérique style echorec. Simulations des répétitions à la sonorité analogique assez réussies mais l'attaque initiale a un son numérique brillant avec moins de basse que le son original. Delay clair et précis avec une bonne modulation mais globalement assez éloigné du son analogique.
