General

Never before has the renowned Maxon company made a delay pedal with such a fat, vintage sound. The Maxon AD-999 is perhaps the most ambitious and most practical delay pedal ever! Its sound is reminiscent of the AD80 but with a much longer delay time. A total of eight MC4107D BBD chips deliver 900 milliseconds of pure, rich organic delay. Thanks to the wet and dry outputs, the effect can be split over two amplifiers/channels.

The Maxon AD-999: a unique analogue design

A few years ago, Panasonic stopped making the Bucket Brigade chips that were used in many analogue effects. Unlike many other manufacturers, Maxon decided not to move to digital analogue and sought another manufacturer instead. Eventually, they found another company who produced ICs with same superior quality. These chips are used in the Maxon AD999. The design of the AS999 has been kept very simple so that it's easy to operate and produces a flawless sound.

Maxon's high-quality effects

Maxon started out as a manufacturer of guitar pickups, but it's their high-quality innovative effects pedals that have made them well known. The company is responsible for the legendary TS-808 and TS9 Tube Screamers that were issued in the seventies under the Ibanez brand name. Today, Maxon specialises in vintage effects - including the highly coveted analogue delays and classic overdrives. Many professional guitarists use Maxon pedals.

Maxon AD-999 Analog Delay effects pedal

Ik heb de laatst 25 jaar diverse delay-units gehad (TC Electronic 2290/G-Force, Rocktron Intellifex, Strymon, enz. Allemaal digitaal!
