Dit is een reverb pedaal voor muzikanten die wel ruimte in hun geluid willen, maar geen behoefte hebben aan groots klinkende 'ambient' geluiden. Het mooie van deze reverb is dat ie niet in de weg zit, maar mooi opvult. De spring klinkt zeer overtuigend, hoewel ik die niet gebruik omdat room gebruik; in die stand heb je mooie 'vulling'. Hall en LFO klinken ook echt goed hoewel ik die niet vaak zal gebruiken. Wat mij betreft echt een prima pedaal die echt wat anders doet dan de meeste reverb pedalen. Er zit niets teveel op, en dat speelt erg prettig!

Zelfs hij hoge settings is RoomMate inzetbaar.

SPRING: Heel weinig reverb pedalen bootsen een échte spring reverb na. Maar deze doet zijn job écht goed. Ook de Boss RV-6 die ik gebruik voor de ambiante klanken, heeft een waardeloze spring.
Maar deze Room Mate blinkt echt uit!

ROOM: Dit is een stand die ik voorheen nooit gebruikte. Ik vond het vrij zinloos. Maar nu staat deze bijna altijd op. Het maakt de gitaarklank meer dynamisch. Maar het voelt niet echt aan als een reverb. De Room stand valt pas goed op als ik deze terug afschakel.

HALL: Op deze stand waan je jezelf in een kleine ruimte of in een grote kerk. En opnieuw... het zit nooit in de weg!

LFO: Op deze stand wordt er een extra klank bijgevoegd. Er komt op de achtergrond een chorus bij. Echt leuk met een akoestische gitaar.

Op podium gebruikte ik vroeger enkel een mono kanaal. Maar deze pedaal komt echt tot leven als je deze in stereo gebruikt. De reverb die ik vroeger in 'de oortjes' kreeg was als iets dat zo ver weg ergens bleef hangen. Maar met deze pedaal zit plots midden in de ruimte omvangen met prachtige klanksferen.

Deze pedaal is wat mij betreft een aanrader. Zoniet dé pedaal die op jouw pedalboard thuis hoort

Het enige minpunt kan zijn dat er geen PLATE bij zit noch een TONE knop.
Maar noch de ene noch de andere mis ik op geen enkel moment.
De klank is gewoon fantastisch uitgebalanceerd...
