General

A good traditional-sounding ride is essential for drummers who play jazz. Unfortunately, these types of cymbals are often priced quite high and not everyone has the budget for them just like that. With the Special Jazz series, Agean has managed to make some very good-sounding cymbals that are still good value for money.

Agean SJ20RI Special Jazz ride 20 inch

This 20-inch ride is made of a B25 alloy. This material consists of 75% bronze and 25% tin with even small traces of silver here and there! The cymbal has a rich, deep sound with a wide frequency range and nice, tasteful overtones. The stick definition is clear and the cymbal crashes just fine. Agean designed the Special Jazz cymbals for jazz drummers, but many rock drummers also run away with the insanely good sound these cymbals produce.
