General
The Meinl Byzance Brilliant Thomas Lang Flex Ride is one of those cymbals that every drummer just wants to try because it looks that good. The unique dark-yet-brilliant finish combines with a heavy weight and a B20 bronze design for nice-and-bright stick definition and a healthy dose of overtones — just not the truckload of overtones that most heavy rides pack. The uniquely finished bell, on the other hand, shapes masses of overtones and sounds a little like Meinl's Brilliant Heavy Hammered Ride. Developed with the help of Meinl-endorser Thomas Lang, this versatile 21-inch cymbal supports metal, rock, pop, fusion, funk and R&B.
