General
If you need a cymbal to provide excellent accents to go with a great groove, then this B20DAR Dark Ride by Meinl might be worth a look. This 20-inch ride cymbal comes from Meinl's Byzance series, which consists purely of cymbals that are hammered and finished by hand, ensuring that each one has a unique sound and its own character. A special feature of this ride is the untreated finish, that clearly shows off the hammer marks.
Meinl Byzance B20DAR
Together with the raw, untreated finish and Meinl's B20 bronze alloy (80% copper, 20% tin), this dark ride offers an almost esoteric sound that is characterised by its low frequency range, its short sustain, and its well-defined ping and bell. With the B20DAR you can produce subtle, sophisticated accents that don't necessarily cut through the mix, but that still have great presence and a rich spread.
