General
Since it doesn't have a bell, the Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve Flat Ride essentially gives you a bigger playing surface and quieter-than-standard sound. This 21-inch model offers a range of dark, earthy sounds that come with a short, uniquely superficial sustain that won't open up until you start playing more aggressively. Perfect for styles like jazz and blues, this simmering cymbal can even be crashed hard to pull out exceptionally clear sound for a ride.
