If you're looking for an attractively-priced American Precision Bass, this one from Fender's American Performer series ticks all the right boxes. It has a split single-coil in the mid position as well as a Jazz Bass-style single-coil at the bridge. Both pickups are newly-developed Yosemite models that have flat staggered poles that deliver a higher output. They also have a shellac coating that prevents any problems with feedback.
The American Performer Precision Bass: Versatile Tone and Modern Features
Two volume controls mean you have a wider sound palette to work with than you get from most Precision basses. The tone potentiometer has a Greasebucket circuit that gives you more control over the higher frequencies too for more punch in your sound. Other notable features include the lightweight, vintage, paddle-style machine heads that have tapered shafts.
Instantly Comfortable
This P bass feels instantly comfortable in the hand thanks to its modern C profile neck and the 9.5-inch fretboard radius. The jumbo frets also add to its excellent playing comfort. A vintage-style bridge with 4 steel saddles complete the picture. The American Performer Precision Bass comes complete with a deluxe gig bag so that you can transport it and store it safely.

Le réglage d' origine me convient. Ma seule remarque négative concerne le réglage de la tonalité qui est symbolique, je ne perçois pas de réelle différence entre "0 et 10"...

Coté finition j'ai ma Yamaha de 91 qui est un peu plus facile à jouer coté manche. La Fender est plus épaisse mais j'aime bien, grandes mains oblige. Le service Bax est au poil pour l'envoi dans les conditions actuelles.
Le plus: LE SON et le poids (4 kgs) Le moins: position de la prise jack, préférer un cable coudé.
