Fender have come up with the best of both worlds: the Precision Bass Special. It has a Precision body for a classic look and a Jazz neck for a comfortable playing feel. Jazz necks have a more narrow string nut than Precision necks, which makes it easier to grip those lower notes. In terms of pickups, you've got the tried-and-trusted P pickup as well as a J pickup at the bridge, giving you a wide array of bass sounds at your fingertips.

This bass is not only special, it's luxurious and active as well. The active aspect is down to the comprehensive integrated preamplifier, which has a 3-band EQ and an active/passive switch.
