For this exceptional finish, the body is painted blue and then sandblasted, creating parallel grooves in the ash that are then accentuated by black filler and complemented with a black pickguard. As wood is a natural product, no two bodies are exactly the same, making every (bass) guitar that's gone through this process truly unique.

Construction

The ash body ensures a balanced tone and is lighter than the more commonly used alder. It also has a more open grain structure that is perfect for a finish such as this one. Additionally, this guitar sports a bolt-on neck with a comfortable C profile and a maple fretboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets. It is equipped with just a single American Standard Alnico V Split Single-Coil P-Bass pickup for the distinct and powerful P-Bass Punch. As the pickup is made of two separate coils it also functions as a humbucker, ridding you of the annoying 50Hz hum. Together with the open-gear machine heads, the solid 4-saddle bridge ensures sublime tuning stability.
