Always wanted one of these, finally decided to treat myself - not disappointed. The centre sustain block gives a modern sound if that’s what you want but you can still get a vintage tone by adjusting the somewhat confusing controls. The low end is unbelievable from something this size. It is quite light and the short scale is comfortable to play once you get used to it. Now using as my main bass playing with a small jazz / blues band.

Heb dit instrument in de collectie zitten , speel er niet graag op omdat het zwaarder is dan de goeikopere versie , ook omdat ik geen extra kosten wil doen die ik op de goeikope Chinesse heb gedaan ,

Het is een prachtig instrument. Goedklinkende elementen. Heel diep laag bij hals-element en rijke boventonen bij brug-element. Heel andere ervaring dan een solid body bass. Echter de electronica en soldeerwerk in mijn exemplaar was heel erg slecht. Bij openen van het pakket (snelle servive Bax!) bleek brug-element het niet te doen. Uiteindelijk bleek er een draadbreuk zijn die ik vrij gemakkelijk kon verhelpen. Oook sommige soldeercontacten lieten spontaan los. Als dit allemaal in 1 x goed was geweest 4 sterren. Als je de electronica inclusief de plastic knopjes vervangt met goede kwaliteit dan 5 sterren. Er is een upgrade-set te koop voor dit alles maar die is vrij prijzig helaas.
