The SR1400 Premium line by Ibanez are first-rate instruments offered at a remarkably reasonable price. This Premium Mojito Lime bass offers great looks, playing comfort, and sound. The top is made of classy figured maple, which is further enhanced by the striking Mojito Lime Green finish. It features a stable Atlas-4 5-piece neck made of wenge and bubinga, and has a KTS Titanium truss rod. Behind the adjustable active 3-band equalizer, there's a passive foundation of two Nordstrand Big Single 4 pickups. These give advanced and professional bassists the sound of a single-coil and the power of a humbucker without any unwanted noise. The SR1400-MLG comes complete in a matching soft case.

Wrote the following about Ibanez SR1400 Premium Mojito Lime Green
De SR1400 maakt in tegenstelling tot de goedkopere SR series geen gebruik van de "eigen" geproduceerde Bartolini MK1 elementen maar betere Nodstrands. Deze zijn veelzijdiger in het geluid en klinken vol en transparant, zeker geen one-trick-pony. Gecombineerd met een uitstekende voorversterker en EQ zijn de volgende combinaties mogelijk zoals ik ze gebruik (stevige rock coverband gefocust op 90's rock):
Passief:
Keuze tussen actief en passief: daardoor is het mogelijk de pick-ups te gebruiken en te laten klinken in de richting van een p- of j-bass zonder de toegevoegde toonregeling. Ideaal voor de nummers waarbij de bass minder snijdt en alleen maar hoeft te dragen of subtieler mag klinken. De toonregeling werkt dan passief, alleen cut van de frequenties.
Actief:
Door de bass actief te gebruiken heb je de mogelijkheid om bass/treble/mids toe te voegen of te onttrekken voor het 'modern bass' geluid in allerlei variaties. Daarnaast is een knop aanwezig de mid frequenties te kiezen. deze knop werkt subtiel. Met de toonregeling zijn geluiden te maken van volle reggae tot de modernere scoop sound bass of juist een door de mix snijdende mid sound. etc etc. Ontzettend veelzijdig die toonregeling, en een kleine draai aan de EQ goes a long way...
Uiterlijk:
De basgitaar is werkelijk prachtig afgewerkt. De bass voelt licht en slank aan en heeft een makkelijk bespeelbare, matte nek. Je handen 'kleven' niet aan de hals. De groene body is apart en ik was er direct weg van, heel apart. Ten opzichte van de stock foto's valt het groen iets donkerder uit. Je valt echt op met deze bas. De brug en tuners zijn in goudkleur maar zien er niet kitsch uit, integendeel, de hele bas straalt luxe uit. Ook de knoppen draaien zwaar en hebben geen speling. Zoek een strap die recht doet aan de kleur. Ik heb een donkerbruine lederen genomen.
Samengevat: aanrader deze als je een mooie, ontzettend veelzijdige en makkelijk bespeelbare basgitaar zoekt met prachtige afwerking.
