The Jackson X Series Spectra Bass SBXP V is a serious side-kick for adventurous bass players looking to embark on a daring journey. Even as the entry-level model of the series, this instrument offers great playability and first-class sound. To guarantee a stable build, Jackson have not only opted for a neck-through construction where the maple neck runs through the poplar body, but a longer upper horn to balance out the weight and counter neck-dive. The maple neck even comes reinforced with graphite so it's able to better resist shifts in temperature and humidity, while the 24-jumbo-fret laurel fretboard has a 12" to 16" compound radius and is largely responsible for the smooth playability of the Spectra Bass SBXP V.

Two Passive Humbucking Pickups with Active Electronics

Defining the tonal potential of the SBXP V are two passive Jackson® Medium-Output Humbucking pickups and active electronics that can be used to create a punchy and defined blend via the 3-band EQ. Also, the push/pull volume control lets you switch between active and passive mode, meaning you can always drop the bass in passive mode whenever the battery is about to run out of juice. Next to a 35" scale length, this 5-string bass features a HiMass hard-tail bridge for optimal sustain and comes completely coated in Transparent Purple Burst lacquer with a headstock to match.
