The Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass '77 has some real presence. Its striking, asymmetrical Jazz Bass body has dynamic looks and this version features a light, maple fretboard with 20 frets. The body of this guitar is made of lightweight agathis. With this model, Squier takes us back to 1977, the heyday of punk and funk. Its two Fender-designed single coils ensure a roaring, warm J-Bass sound.
Vintage Modified Jazz Bass 77
The striking optical properties of this instrument include its black master tone and volume knobs (one for each pickup). The black pickguard, chrome-plated base plate for the jack input, together with the white block inlays, fretboard bindings and vintage-tinted neck create a genuine vintage feel. What is more, this bass is properly built and Squier-priced. Vintage Jazz Bass character all around!

Na veel twijfelen, want je moet een (bas)gitaar toch eigenlijk wel gezien en gevoeld hebben voordat je hem koopt, gisteren toch besteld.
Vanmorgen werd de bas keurig bezorgd door PostNL.
Heel goed verpakt met veel bescherming erom heen, heel netjes gedaan door BAX.
Ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat ik geen spijt heb gekregen.
Wat een prachtige bas voor dit geld. Hij ziet er in het echt nog mooier uit dan op de foto's.
Afwerking en looks zijn echt goed.
Misschien dat ie nog wel een afstelbeurtje kan gebruiken, maar ik moet zeggen dat hij zo uit de fabriek al heel goed speelt en aanvoelt en het geluid is ook nog es goed!!!
Verder is hij heel licht voor een bas, wat ik zelf niet heel erg vind.
Kortom, ik ga denk ik wel heel veel plezier beleven aan deze Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass '77
Een waanzinnige bas voor een mooie prijs.

De afgelopen 10 jaar doet kwaliteit van de duurdere Squier modellen echt niet meer onder voor de (vaak veel duurdere) Fender modellen. Dit gaat wel een beetje ten kosten van de magie van merken als Fender en Gibson, maar scheelt wel veel centjes.
Ik gebruik de Jazz bas oa voor het stevige werk (rock en metal). De Jazz bridge pickup heeft meer karakter in 't hoog (dus meer agressie en punch in dit bereik). Hier moet je van houden (zoals ik).
