Vandoren SL5 Optimum mouthpiece for soprano saxophone

For saxophones, Parisian manufacturer Vandoren has had a line of mouthpieces called Optimum for ages. Especially for soprano saxophone, an SL5 model has now been developed in addition to the already well-known SL3 and SL4. Of the three, it has the largest tip opening (1.25 mm) and, like the others, a short path length. As a result, it delivers a very full sound in both the high and low register, but it does require greater control from the player. On the other hand, this mouthpiece can be used for any style of music.
