While this is the XT edition, the unbelievable comfort of the original Excel SS has been retained in the 15 inch wide body, single-cut shaping, thin-C neck profile and Jescar 47/104 nickel frets. Finished with a lightweight, feedback-eliminating centreblock, this model delivers sonic authenticity on top of effortless style.

The D'Angelico Excel SS XT: Opulent Sound

A Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker planted at the neck and bridge come backed up by decades of proven service. Hand built in California, these pickups combine with the hollow-body of the XT to deliver a sumptuous output packed with sweet warmth and just the right amount of high-end sparkle. Pop out the push-pull tone pots the single-coil voicing is activated per pickup to double the versatility. To finish, you're getting the full D'Angelico treatment plus all the trimmings: from the Deco-style tuning buttons to the pinstriped ebony control pots and gold hardware.
