General
The Gretsch G5420T Electromatic is a semi-acoustic hollow-body guitar with a stylish orange finish, that provides you with the unmistakable, round yet pervasive Gretsch sound. It is equipped with a set of modern Black Top Filter'Tron pickups that deliver a distinctive timbre, rich and full of sparkle with a high output. The G5420T features a vintage-style Bigsby tailpiece and tremolo, similar to those found on old jazz guitars.
Other characteristics of the G5420T
The Gretsch G5420T is equipped with a single cutaway and its body is relatively deep, enabling you to easily access the highest frets without sacrificing any of its resonance. The maple neck is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard that features distinctive hump block position markers. A chic silver-coloured pickguard, an Adjusto-Matic bridge (for optimal intonation) and nice-looking bindings along body, neck and sound holes complete the picture.

Ik heb uiteindelijk deze gitaar twee keer moeten bestellen.
De eerste gitaar die ik ontving had een aantal problemen:
een pick-up stopte met werken, en de ander was verkeerd gesoldeerd.
Ik had de dag erna de gitaar nodig, dus het was geen oplossing om hem te retourneren, en te wachten op een nieuwe. We hebben toen een mail geschreven naar Bax en de douarie uitgelegd. We kregen meteen een mail terug, en konden gewoon een nieuwe bestellen, en alles zou geregeld worden.
De 2e gitaar die ik kreeg was perfect, niks mis mee.
Voordelen:
-gitaar heeft een fijn gewicht
-pickups klinken geweldig
-Bigsby zorgt er niet snel voor dat de gitaar ontstemt
-Master Volume zit op een fijne plek
-gitaar geeft minder snel feedback als sommige mensen zeggen
Nadelen:
-er komt geen koffer/gigbag bij de gitaar
-hevig Bigsby gebruik zorgt ervoor dat de gitaar ontstemt, maar de Bigsby is ook nooit bedoelt om divebombs mee te maken
-de strap buttons zijn waardeloos, bij beide gitaren probeerde ik de knop los te schoeven, maar haalde ik per ongeluk meteen de schroef er mee uit. Ik heb ze onmiddelijk vervangen door Schaller Straplocks, ging heel gemakkelijk en werkt perfect.
Ik geef deze gitaar 4 van de 5 sterren.
