General
Most hollow-body guitars produce uncontrolled feedback when you're using high-gain distortion or when you're playing at a high volume. To counter that, this Georgia Green semi-acoustic Gretsch G5622T-CB is equipped with a 'center block,' a solid spruce interior block that runs along the length of its 44mm thinline body and reduces unwanted feedback. It provides the guitar with a lively sound and increases its sustain. The G5622T-CB features two cutaways and typical 1960s cat's eye sound holes, and is equipped with three Super HiLo'Tron humbuckers that provide an ultra-clear sound with a surprisingly low bass.
Gretsch G5622T-CB Electromatic: body, neck and hardware
The body of the Gretsch G5622T-CB is made of high-grade 5-ply maple and has an arched top and back. The neck of the guitar is also made of maple and features a rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, a 12.5-inch radius and Neo-Classic Thumbnail position markers. The G5622T-CB is equipped with a volume knob for each pickup, master volume and master tone controls and a three-way pickup switch. A two-way switch enables you to turn the middle pickup on or off. The Adjusto-Matic bridge of the guitar is accompanied by a Bigsby-licensed B70 tailpiece for subtle vibrato effects. Additionally, the G5622T-CB features a set of solid Grover kidney-shaped tuners, five 'G-arrow' knobs and a black pickguard adorned with a white Gretsch logo.
