The Gretsch G6122-6212GE Vintage Select Country Gentlemen is the 12-string version of Chet Atkins legendary 1962 semi-acoustic guitar. This model has a body and neck made of maple with a Walnut Stain finish. The top has two painted on f-holes and the neck has a scale length of 25.5 inches.
G6122-6212GE Country Gentleman
The gold-plated hardware and Gold Plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo really stand out on this model next to the Walnut Stain finish. Other notable features include a number of controls for customising the sound. Just like other semi-acoustic models from the late '50s, these include a master volume, separate volume controls for each pickup, a 3-way master tone switch and a 3-way pickup switch as well. The G6122-6212GE is also equipped with gold-plated Grover Rotomatic Mini machine heads that ensure excellent tuning stability.
12 strings & Parallel Tone Bars
This Gretsch Country Gentleman has Parallel Tone Bars which is a type of bracing often found on archtop guitars. This enhances the body top's vibration whilst helping to eliminate feedback at the same time. The neck is made of three plies of maple and has an ebony fretboard with 22 vintage-style frets. There are two TV Jones humbucker pickups on board which can be used separately or together depending on the setting of the pickup switch.
