Hofner Verythin Deluxe Transparent Black

General

The HCT-VTH-D-TBK is the Deluxe model in Hofner's Verythin series, which remains remarkably affordable despite its absolutely gorgeous looks. This hollow-body reissue brings to mind the period when the first semi-acoustic guitars were created: the 1960s. By adding a number of modern features, such as the humbuckers and the excellent playing comfort, this electric hollow-body is brought right into the 21st century. Finally, it's slender 32mm-thick body further enhances its feel.

Hofner Verythin CT: less feedback, more sustain

The neck, top, sides and back of the Verythin CT are made of flamed maple, brandishing a transparent black lacquer. The top and back are arched for added strength, giving them a beautiful look in the process. Within the hollow body, there is a solid spruce centre block - a wooden beam to enhance sustain, reduce feedback and create a deeper tone. Thanks to its construction and the types of wood that were used, the Hofner Verythin Deluxe offers a surprisingly loud and clear sound.

Pickups and hardware

The Verythin Deluxe is equipped with two of Hofner's full-size humbucker pickups so that it produces a wide spectrum of tones, ranging from zesty blues to straightforward rock distortion, in addition to the unique '60s sound. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, so you can fine-tune the sound of your guitar. Finally, the Verythin Deluxe's hardware comprises a fully adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge with a tailpiece and a set of fancy self-lubricating tuners with mother-of-pearl peg heads.
