General
The Ibanez PM200NT Pat Metheny is a vintage-style hollow-body guitar and a visual beauty. The visible wooden texture of the body, two f-shaped holes and beautifully sculpted curves make this guitar a stunning addition to your collection. The mahogany neck fills the sound of this guitar with warmth and gives it long sustain while the maple body adds clarity and bite. The ebony fretboard is fitted with pearloid inlays made of nacre, which makes for a subtle, handsome finish. A neck mounted Silent 58 humbucker and the strings are flatwound to reduce any annoying additional noise.
Pat Metheny
The guitar virtuoso, Pat Metheny is pretty fond of the PM200NT and as such, Ibanez have made this Signature. Born in 1954, Pat has no less than ten Grammy Awards lining his mantel, all won with the Pat Metheny Group. Since he's a big fan of experimentation, he likes to use various exotic string instruments, on stage as well as in the studio. He also uses synthesizers and guitar synthesizers, all played via his guitar.
