The DW Drums Design Series shells come out DW's California Custom Shop and are made from North American maple. Designed with versatility in mind, this 4-piece shell pack is perfect for a wide range of drummers. The shells have an 8-ply, HVLT construction, which means that the outer ply is glued horizontally and the inner plies are glued vertically. This particular set includes a 10" x 8" tom, a 12" x 9" tom, a 16" x 14" floor tom, and a 22" x 18" bass drum.

Besides an elegant Tobacco Burst finish, the shells boast chrome-plated hardware, including triple flanged hoops, True-Pitch tension rods and DW Mini-Turret lugs — all to ensure consistent drumhead tension and tight sound. The toms, meanwhile, feature the STM tom mount system, allowing them to resonate as freely as possible.
